The idea behind SlickFunds is to allow its users maintain their MF Portfolios without the need to authenticate themselves using any of their personal details. All data related to MF holdings including Units Purchased and dates of transactions are totally native to the device itself and is at no point transmitted from the device through any mechanism whatsoever.

Moreover, there are more than 15k Funds serviced by Indian AMCs and it would be impractical (also resulting in unwanted data costs to our users) if we download the NAVs of all 15k+ Funds on their devices for daily updates. Since all the funds have a unique Scheme Identifer(6-digit Scheme Code, similar to a Stock Code assigned for BSE & NSE stocks) assigned to them, we make use of the same and fetch relevant NAV data only for the Funds in your Portfolio.
